We carry out several services which produce a lot of green waste, such as tree works and grass cutting, and we decided to put this waste to good use. The by products from our tree services have been recycled and processed to create our own Bark Mulch, we have also started composting the other green waste we produce. We screened the bark mulch a process which removes any of the larger pieces of wood, producing a finer grade of mulch which is much more useable and aesthetically pleasing. This product is now used on the Grounds Maintenance contracts we hold throughout NI and Ireland.

Bark mulch has several benefits for the environment including, improving soil organic matter, providing nutrients, encouraging beneficial soil organisms and it helps to suppress weeds. We have improved our business in other areas to reduce our impact such as investing in electrical grounds maintenance equipment and any new vehicles purchased for our expanding fleet have lower emissions, all this helps contribute to reducing our carbon footprint.
