General Operative

Greentown Environmental is seeking reliable and motivated General Operatives to join our team, operating from our Northern Depot, located at the Rankinstown Road, Ballymena.

This hands-on role involves working across a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks to support the delivery of high-quality services on contracts managed by Greentown Environmental. If you enjoy practical work in an outdoor setting and being part of a hardworking team, we’d love to hear from you.

The successful applicants must possess:

• A full driving licence (essential)

• A positive, team-focused attitude

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Self-motivated with good communication skills

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or similar is an advantage

Additional licences and or certifications (e.g., Trailer, PA1/PA6, Chainsaw) are desirable but not required.

Main Duties

• Undertake a range of duties such as grounds maintenance, weed control, drainage works, tree works, sign cleaning, pressure washing, grass cutting, and other general labouring tasks in line with instructions received from the Service Manager.
• Undertake general driving duties as and when required in a range of vehicles and machinery owned and maintained by Greentown.
• Be health and safety aware, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and chemicals are handled in a safe and careful manner, and that any spillages or hazards are dealt with immediately.
• Report all issues of concern to the Service Manager, including damage to third-party property or any damages or breakages to Greentown tools, equipment or machinery, as soon as possible.
• Cooperate fully with instructions issued by the Management team.
