Drainage Operative

The Role:

The Drainage Operative will work to ensure the smooth running of the Drainage operations within Greentown, through the operation of mechanical and manual equipment on areas contracted to the Company. The Drainage Operative will carry out routine and emergent maintenance works on the drainage infrastructure to ensure the efficient functioning of the drainage and gully systems across Northern Ireland.

Main Duties

• Operation of both manual and mechanical equipment within the Drainage service such as vacuum systems and high-pressure jetting units.
• Perform routine inspections and cleaning of gullies to ensure proper flow and prevent blockages.
• Operation of any other mechanical equipment as and when required.
• Conduct routine maintenance of
• Record and maintain accurate records of works completed as instructed by the Service Manager.
• Co-operate fully with instructions and advice given by the Service Manager.
• Listen carefully to the directions of the Management team and undertake those directions as instructed.

•  Be Risk Aware and have the ability to identify and implement safe systems of work
• From time to time, assist in the operation of both manual and mechanical equipment across the various services provided by Greentown Environmental Ltd and Greentown Traffic Management Ltd.
• Undertake a range of duties in accordance with Company standards and contract specification
• Ensure that all PPE is worn during the operation of manual and mechanical machinery.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, the Integrated Management System and your own General Terms and Conditions of Employment.
